Tony Bloom,
Vice President, Retail Prepaid
Tony Bloom is responsible for developing and growing iBasis’ retail prepaid calling card and stored value product
business, including setting strategies for product and sales channel development, as well as day-to-day executive
management of the business unit. Tony brings to iBasis more than 20 years of experience in telecommunications
including general management and strategic development experience with leading carriers in the United States.
Before joining iBasis in 2006, Tony held senior sales and channel management positions at MCI and Verizon.
Most recently he was the executive director for Verizon’s Business Solution Group channel program where he
directed MCI partner sales for the U.S. His responsibilities included the development of MCI’s U.S. Commercial
market channel program and the acquisition of many new regional partners. Previously, Tony held senior sales
and development positions at CTC Communications (now One Communications) and TDX Systems, a subsidiary of Cable
& Wireless.
Tony holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Bloom has been involved
with the American Liver Foundation Marathon team and a variety of community youth programs.
