Jayesh Patel
Vice President, Business Development and Strategy
Jayesh Patel is responsible for the development of partnerships, alliances, eco-systems and overall corporate strategy.
Jayesh has nearly 25 years experience in executive management, strategy and technology roles in the telecommunications and
networking industry. Prior to being VP & General Manager of Mobile Packet Data Solutions at Alcatel, he was co-founder of
WaterCove, a next generation mobile wireless infrastructure supplier. At WaterCove Jayesh held various positions ranging from
Vice President of Marketing to President & CEO, and played a critical role in developing the business and the ultimate sale of
the company to Alcatel.
He also served as Vice President of Product Management and Business Development for Northchurch Communications Inc., a startup
developing next-generation, carrier-class edge routers. Jayesh was instrumental in efforts that lead to the sale of Northchurch to
Newbridge Networks in 1999. Previously, Jayesh was Vice President of Product Management for the Remote Access Business Unit of Bay
Networks, where he launched the company’s first carrier-class concentrator access products and was responsible for the remote access
product lines, which generated over $100m in revenues. Jayesh joined Bay Networks after it acquired Xylogics, where he was Vice President
of Product Management and Business Strategy. He has a BS in Control Engineering from the University of Sussex.
