Mark Phimister is responsible for the overall management of international financial operations. Mark brings to iBasis extensive experience in finance, worldwide operations management and business development.
Mark joined iBasis as Director of Finance for Europe and Asia-Pac in 2002 and successfully implemented processes and practices to help drive the business in these two strategic regions. He subsequently became Managing Director, EMEA, and managed the development and implementation of the iBasis business strategy in the region, including initiatives targeting mobile operators and Voice over Broadband providers, as well as expanding the iBasis termination footprint to ensure continued growth of iBasis’ retail and wholesale international voice business.
Prior to joining iBasis, Mark was Vice President of Finance for Instron Corporation, a company specializing in simulation software and structural testing machines for the automotive industry, and Group Financial Controller and Treasurer for Amstrad PLC, a consumer electronics company. Mark is a qualified Chartered Accountant and graduated in Accountancy and Mathematics.
