John Tolton
VP, Asia Pacific
As vice president of sales for the Asia-Pacific region, John is responsible for all day-to-day operations of iBasis’ Asia-Pacific sales team, including selling iBasis services to carriers and developing new partnerships for termination within the region. Since 1990 John has held a variety of sales, business development, and management positions focused on telecommunications in the Asia-Pacific market, including serving as iBasis managing director for Asia-Pacific from 1999 to 2001. In returning to iBasis, John brings extensive experience in the booming mobile telecommunications business with International Wireless Communications Ltd., Nextel Communications Philippines, Inc., and Wireless Way Limited. John holds a BA in International Relations from the University of Toronto, and a Graduate Degree in Asia-Pacific Management from Capilano College in Vancouver.
