iBasis Names International Mobile Telecom Veteran to Increase Sales in Middle East, North Africa, and Pakistan

BURLINGTON, MASS. - February 28, 2006 - iBasis, Inc. (OTCBB: IBAS), the global VoIP company™, today announced that it has named Oubay Atassi Regional Vice President, Sales. He is responsible for growing the company's Trading business in the fast-growing region of the Middle East, North Africa, and Pakistan. Atassi brings more than 20 years of sales experience in international telecommunications.
